Free Youth Boxing Sessions in Royds, South Bradford

We are proud to be delivering free weekly youth boxing sessions in the Royds area of South Bradford, helping to provide young people with a safe, positive environment away from crime and anti-social behaviour.

We deliver two free two-hour sessions every week for young people aged 11–16 years. Sessions will take place at the Woodside Community Centre and Delph Hill Centre, well-known and easily accessible venue in Royds, running after school and during the early evening from 4pm–6pm.

We already deliver successful boxing programmes from our gym in nearby Brighouse and have extensive experience working across Royds, Tong, and Wyke wards. Over the years, we have supported many young people who may be vulnerable to crime, anti-social behaviour, or social isolation.

Between March 2024 and April 2026, we have commiteted to delivering 424 hours of additional youth provision in Royds — a significant investment in opportunities for local young people.

The sessions are completely free and open to all, but we will also work closely with:

  • West Yorkshire Police neighbourhood teams

  • Bradford & District Youth Justice Service

  • Bradford Youth Service

This partnership approach will help ensure that young people most in need of positive support can access the programme.

Boxing is a hugely popular activity for young people and offers far more than fitness alone. Through structured coaching, discipline, and teamwork, participants can develop:

  • Confidence and self-esteem

  • Respect and self-discipline

  • Improved mental health and wellbeing

  • Better physical fitness

  • Communication and life skills

  • Positive attitudes towards school, training, and employment

Parents, schools, and families regularly tell us they see major improvements in behaviour, focus, and self-regulation after young people engage in boxing training.

Most importantly, our sessions provide a safe space where young people can feel supported, listened to, and encouraged by trusted adults who genuinely care about their future.
